留学までの道のり 〜 その③「ビザ申請手続き」
今回は、とても大変で面倒臭いと言われている、イギリスのTier 4ビザの申請手続きについて書こうと思います。
なんとも面倒臭いのが、VAF9と呼ばれるオンライン申請書の記入ですね。
そこで今日は、どうやって記入したか、順番にご説明します。

PART 1 : PASSPORT AND TRAVEL INFORMATION
＊PASSPORT / TRAVEL DOCUMENT
このセクションは、ただ自分の個人情報を入力するだけなので簡単です。
11）Issuing Authority
ここは「Ministry of Foreign Affairs」（外務省）と書きますが、文字数が入りきりません。そこで、「Ministry of Foreign」まで入力し、最後に申請書をプリントアウトした際に、「Affairs」を手書きで書き加えましょう。
過去のパスポート情報を入力する際も、Issuing Authorityの部分は同じように入力します。
＊TRAVEL INFORMATION
19）Date of Planned Arrival in the UK
この日付を元に、最初の短期ビザが発行されます。通常、入力した渡英予定日の７日前から30日有効の短期ビザが発行されます。航空券をすでに購入していて、入力日が購入した航空券の日程であれば、問題ありません。
21）What is the main address and contact details of where you will be staying whilst in the UK? - Primary contact number
ここには、寮が決まっていればその寮の住所と、電話番号を入力します。電話番号は、最初の0を抜いて、国番号の+44をつけるようにしましょう。
PART 2 : PERSONAL DETAILS AND TRAVEL HISTORY

ここは簡単ですね。
＊TRAVEL AND CRIMINAL HISTORY
28〜32、36〜44はよほど素行が悪い人でなければ、基本的に全部NOです。
PART 3からPART 4は飛ばします。大体の人が簡単に入力できると思います。
PART 5 : TIER 4 STUDENT

59）Give your Tier 4 sponsor licence number
エディンバラ大学に行く人であれば、「23CYGN5K3」です。この番号は、大学から送られてくるCASに記されています。
60）What is the name of your sponsor?
エディンバラ大学に行く人であれば、「University of Edinburgh」と入力します。
61）What is the full address of your sponsor?
進学先の住所をいれます。

62）What is your confirmation of acceptance for studies number?
自分のCAS番号をいれます。
63）What is the tile of your course?
私の場合は、「APPLICATION TO STUDY AS A VISITING STUDENT IN THE COLLEGE OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCE」でした。
64）What is the level of the course and qualification?
私の場合は、「SCQF level 10」です。こちらもオファーレターかCASに記載されています。
65）Start date of course
オファーレターにある通り。
66）End date of course
オファーレターにある通り。
67）Have you already started studying this course?
「NO」
68）What is the address of the main site of study?
私の場合は、Old Collegeの住所を入力しました。
69）Confirm which of the following options apply
「Studying」
70）Have you been assessed by the sponsor by other means, for example referenced or a portfolio of artwork?
私の場合は「NO」です。
71）Please indicate how you meet the minimum English language requirement relevant to your course
私の場合は、CASに「HEI sponsor has made assessment」と記載があるため、「Your sponsor is a Higher Education Instituion (HEI), and has made its own assessment of your English language ability」を選択しました。
72）Are you required to obtain permission from the academic technology approval scheme (ATAS)?
「NO」
＊MAINTENANCE AND FEES
73）How much are the fees for your course of study?
私の場合は、「14800.00」でした。この時のレートで、190万円ほど。高いですね...
74）Have any of your course fees been paid?
私は、まだ授業料を払っていなかったので、ここは「NO」でした。
75）Do you have sufficient funds to cover remaining course fees?
「YES」
76）Have any of your accommocation fees been paid to your sponsor?
私は、この時点で寮が決定していて、払ってあったので、「Yes - paid to UK education provider」を選択しました。
77）Please enter the amount GBP (£)
私の場合は、「5350」でした。
78）What document has been provided as evidence of payment?
「Evidence is not required under guidence but held by applicant」を選択しました。大抵の日本人がこうだと思います。
79）Do you receive support from a financial sponsor...
私の場合、奨学金がなかったので「NO」です。
80）Do you have any remaining fees and maintenance still due for payment?
まだ支払うべき額が残っていたため、「YES」です。

「14800」
82）Maintenance
留学先がロンドンではないため、定められた金額 1015 × 9ヶ月間＝9135。
でも、寮の費用が支払ってあったため、差し引きの認められている1265を引いた、「7870」を入力しました。

「22670」

ここは「NO」としました。
85）What evidence have you provided that show bothe the amount of funds available and your relationship to your parents or legal guardians?
「Evidence is not required under guidence but held by applicant」と書きました。
